Electrical safety:
Under electrical safety the following will be checked:
- Substation Equipment Installation, i.e. Main Isolator, Breaker Panels, Main Transformers,
- DG Set, Main Distribution Panel, Cable Glanding and Terminations of Lugs in Panels.
- Lighting Distribution Boards wherever applicable.
- Power Quality Study and Load Balance.
- Earthing System and Hardware used.
- Electrical Equipment used in the Plant
- Evaluation of Electrical Safety for major Equipment’s and suggesting ways of rectification.
Fire Safety
- Adequacy of existing system (Specially in underground generators, transformers, exciting panel, cables , XLPE cables ,OPU tanks , GIS, HT & LT system , Governors)
- Protocols being followed to check the healthiness of firefighting system on a regular basis
- Suitability of Fire Tenders and its personnel to be able to enter inside the underground power house in case of big fire & thick smoke and fight the fire.
- Interlocks with ventilation system
- Adequacy of ventilation system for meeting emergent requirements during fire in underground and suggest improvements.
